Flat Roofing in Twickenham & Richmond

Modern felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass flat roofs for extensions, garages, dormers and balconies — installed to last across Twickenham, Richmond and South West London.

The right system for your roof

A flat roof is only as good as its detailing — the upstands, edges, laps and outlets where water finds its way in. We fit the covering properly and get those details right, whether it's a leaking garage roof or a brand-new extension.

We work with all three modern systems and will recommend the one that best suits the size, shape and use of your roof rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all product.

Flat roof systems we fit

  • Torch-on felt — reliable, cost-effective multi-layer roofing
  • EPDM rubber — seamless single-ply membrane, very long life
  • GRP fibreglass — hard, seamless finish for balconies & trafficked areas
  • Warm-roof insulation upgrades to cut heat loss & condensation
  • New flat roofs for extensions, garages and dormers
  • Flat-roof repairs, re-covers and outlet replacement

Flat Roofing FAQs

What is the best material for a flat roof — felt, EPDM or GRP? +
All three are excellent when fitted well. Modern torch-on felt is reliable and cost-effective; EPDM rubber is a single-piece membrane with a very long life, ideal for extensions and dormers; GRP fibreglass gives a hard, seamless finish that suits balconies and areas with foot traffic. We'll recommend the right one for your roof and budget.
What is the difference between EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass? +
EPDM is a flexible rubber membrane laid in a single sheet with very few joints, so it copes well with movement. GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) is a rigid, laminated finish that's seamless and hard-wearing. EPDM tends to suit larger, simpler roofs; GRP suits detailed roofs, trims and trafficked surfaces.
How long does a flat roof last? +
A properly installed modern flat roof typically lasts 20–30 years or more, well beyond the old reputation of felt roofs. Good detailing at the edges, upstands and outlets matters more than the headline material — which is exactly where we take care.
Can you insulate my flat roof as well? +
Yes. When we replace a flat roof we can upgrade the insulation to a warm-roof build-up, improving the thermal performance and helping to prevent condensation. We'll talk you through the options before starting.
